Oh and I'm also having problems killing the Monk, even with both groups there. I guess only having Aftershock as extra damage isn't enough for him...

I'm using a/e with dark escape, deaths charge, and shadow refuge. On the warrior construct there are two groups before you can get close enough to death's charge him. I just dark escape and run past the first group taking whatever damage and aggro the second group as well before putting on shadow form. At that point you're pretty close to being able to charge him and saved yourself about 5 seconds of SF time.
This method is *only* when those 2 initial groups do not have mesmers in them. If there are mesmers I shadowform first of course, try him once, and if I die I don't bother going back there, but its your choice obviously!
For the monk my damage other than silver armor is crystal wave and obsidian flame, which help but its possible without them as well. Try getting some more time on SF by pulling with a bow(remember to switch back to staff right after), and not casting sf until you're right next to the monk constructs group. You may get some annoying mesmer spells on you and probably some burning but with a deaths charge followed by shadow refuge it is negligible.
This is not the only way obviously, and i'm sure others have found quicker/more efficient ways but it works for me so whatever

Now if only there was a way to make sliver deal holy damage or something so we could get the 6th...

Without Dark Escape you can pretty much kiss all hopes of killing the ele boss goodbye. 2x Mirror of Ice (usually) at 180 each and the 2x Lightning Touches + Afflicted explosions...
Rangers are too cool to be solo farmed

The Ranger's Construct is possible to kill. I've killed it once by drawing another group of Afflicted over and I got the green!

The trick is when he's alone, cast SoH on the hill, then death charge to him, spawn all the am fah around him and get out of SoH (don't cast silver armor yet since you want as many am fah to survive the jade attack, the jade brotherhood will attack the am fah, let them kill each other.
After all jade bro has been eliminated. Go in for the kill with silver armor.

It is possible yeah if you lure a big enough group and maybe use armour ignoring damage. But for the most part its not worth the effort unless you really want the bow. Its not like it has a high success rate.

everytime im at the monk's contruct, i always get hit by Hex spells, burning, knockdowns and by the time i teleport to monk's contruct i died. and if i stay alive i activate silver armor but it damages the afflicted.
and sunreach is hard, theres [Brambles] Spirit. cuz when warden uses irresistable blow i get knockdown and then i bleed cuz of [brambles] spirit and lancertation.

I notice it worked best if I ran in and died intentionally once so that I could pull the wardens that usually block your way(None Shal Pass! + brambeles + Lacerate ftl). That way when I went back the second time, I had a clear shot to shadow step to Sunreach and whack him. I used Rust, which helped a lot on his Healing Signet.
Probably try the Constructs later when I get time. I had tried something like this for my Mo/E with Spell Breaker +S Sliver but never could get it to work. Great job!

thanks, imma try that strategy and i think the 15% death penalty is worth it just to get the sunreach!

Thanks in advance.

Interesting how last page you posted saying you'd made 360k in 3 days and today your posting saying you don't seem to know what Shadow Form does.
If your intending to make money out of the green drop event by farming Kaolins i wouldn't waste your time... For a start barely anyone is interested in these things anymore and those few that are aren't interested in a good price, greens weekend will just flood a very dead market.
If i had a program to do it and a stable connection... i'd make a video of it. But i can't be sure of any results... I did 3 runs earlier (getting an Accursed, Dom and Blade) with a huge variety of stupid moves... Forgetting to renew Shadow of Haste is a new, rather common 1 for me.

rottscale!
i think you'll like it guys the only non-mission lvl30 creature in GW was farmed with this build...however there were two of us and we alternate in runs and without quickening zephyr from his rotting dragons it would be impossible (btw quickening zephyr is really good in addition with this build)...it takes about 20 minutes ;]
here is the annoying reptile a little while before the end. i would post the photo with drop, but he didn't drop the bow (although wiki says he drops every time, we killed him three times and so far he dropped nothing).
but anyway...it's ROTSCALE!

I’ve read through most of this thread.
Somehow I missed the importance of using either a staff or a axe + focus.
I understand this will impact the way certain monsters behave, but what exactly ?
Can anyone explain when to use either for me please.
I’ve been using a fiery flamespitter with a +20% ench mod and a earth +1, +HP focus.
(I’m E/A and energy is not much of a problem, I’ll get a +energy focus just in case though.). I can kill a couple of bosses like Woe Spreader, Scar Eater, … (no drop’s from scar eater yet)
I’m going to have a go at the Kaolins soon.
I’m just wondering about the staff vs axe+off hand.
Does this impact the chance of the boss dropping his weapon ?
(I’ve seen a necro boss switch from staff to axe once, I figured he wouldn’t drop the staff if he wasn’t holding it)
What differences are there in monster behaviour depending on staff vs axe ?

Thanks, I wasn't always aggroing them, or I would then I'd death's charge in, leaving them behind. They don't always seem to spawn, and usually if they do they're kinda half way between the portal and Scar Eater. However, just had another go and they spawned right next to him which helped a lot. At last I got him!
I've also taken out Monk, Mesmer, Necro and Warrior Constructs; Kyril Oathwarden (nec) and Bramble Everthorn (sin).
So far, the only drop I've had is the Woe Spreader... good job I'm doing it for the challenge and not for the drops eh!
Someone asked about the monk's construct. I usually run up the ramp opposite him and have a rest, then go get him when the group that wanders between him and near the mesmer construct is almost back to him, making sure you aggro. them too. Hope that helps
